When should I place my order?
You should plan your event and place your order as early as possible. In a perfect world, we would like at
least two week’s notice before an event but we know that is not always possible. You can call us at the last
minute for catering solutions and we will do our best to work with you and provide food to make your event
special. In general, we do not charge extra for last-minute orders.

When do I pay for my order?
We require a deposit, usually 30%, when you place your order unless other arrangements are made in
advance. The balance is due after the food for your event has been delivered and enjoyed. Policies for
corporate and non-profit accounts may differ; please ask.

Are there any limits on the size of my order?
No job is too small. We do not have a minimum order size nor do we charge extra for small affairs.
No job is too large. Talk to us and we can work out the details for any event you can imagine.

Can I provide part of the food and beverages myself?
Yes, of course! We are happy to provide all or part of your food and beverage needs for any event.

What if the number of people attending increases before the event?
You can add people to your order at any time up to the day before the event without any additional charge,
other than the per person price for the food. Because the food has to be ordered and prepared in advance,
you cannot decrease the number of people after you have confirmed your order.

What does the quoted price include?
Your quote from Gourmet to Go will be a price per person for the food and beverages you have chosen. This price includes the food, serving dishes, and utensils.
Paper goods are also included for some events. If you want china or higher-end or earth-friendly paper
goods, those are also available. The basic quote does not include servers, but we can provide them for an
additional fee.

Why do you quote a price per person rather than a price per item?
Our experience is that pricing by the person rather than by the item allows us to provide you with more food
for your money.

Can you provide servers and people to do set up and clean up?
We can provide servers to set up your event, serve the food, and clean up afterwards. The cost per server is
$20 per hour. There is no minimum number or servers or number of hours; you pay only for the service that
you need.

Can you provide flowers and other decorations for my event?
Yes, we will provide flowers for an additional charge.

What happens to any leftovers?

homeless shelters and soup kitchens.

You provide kosher food. What does that mean?
Gourmet to Go is the only rabbinically supervised kosher catering service in Albuquerque. Whether foods are kosher or not is determined by Jewish laws that deal with what foods can and cannot be eaten and how those foods must be prepared and eaten. In brief, only certain types of meat are permitted and the animals must be slaughtered according to ritual guidelines. Also, meat and milk products cannot be combined in any way during either preparation or serving.
All of our kosher meals are prepared in the meat and dairy kitchens at Congregation B’nai Israel under the
rabbinic supervision of Rabbi Arthur Flicker.
